Acting & Music Theatre
Class Times: In the early years children have a natural ability to ‘make believe'. Through drama games, role play, poems and songs we encourage them to use their imaginations. They begin to understand moods and feeling of different characters and use movement to express themselves. Our fun drama activities encourage students to grow in confidence and develop communication and language skills. Through teacher-led improvisations they learn to work together and listen to others. In Music Theatre, students have a wonderful time learning and performing new and familiar songs. Show Case!
At the end of our first semester students perform in an open class. This is a fantastic opportunity to show the variety of pieces, scenes and songs they have learnt to family and friends.
Exams
We have optional exams available with the London College of Music. These exams are enjoyable and aim to build confidence whilst providing an assessment of the skills the students have leant.
Show Time!
At the end of the second semester students take part in our end of year extravaganza. Children have a fantastic time exploring a colourful story which they perform to family and friends in the theatre. We believe every child has a special talent and there is always a role for everyone to play!
What to bring?
Students should wear comfortable clothes and bring a drink. Some students bring a small snack but this is up to individual parents. We have a 5 minute beak in the middle of the class.
